A proven leader with a clear plan to make Chicago more affordable, safer, and livable for everyone.
I have spent my life serving people, creating jobs, and investing in communities that too often feel forgotten. I am running because I believe every family deserves safe neighborhoods, quality education, economic opportunity, and leaders who put people before politics.
Chicago is a city of incredible strength and potential, and together we can build a future where every resident has the chance to succeed. I am committed to listening, leading with integrity, and fighting every day for the people of this great city.
I believe we have been divided too long. It can no longer be Republican against Democrat, citizens against police, white versus Black, and rich versus poor. We must achieve the original vision of our country, to be a place where all people can be free to pursue life, liberty and happiness, truly one nation under God.
The policies I propose will help unite all Chicagoans and unleash economic opportunity to every neighborhood. The following are a few general thoughts regarding key issues impacting our city. I look forward to meeting and receiving your input on key issues at town hall meetings.
Chicagoans are being squeezed by rising living costs. They include groceries, energy, healthcare, property taxes, rents, housing, homeowners and car insurance. Wages are not keeping pace with surging costs. I will propose policies to make Chicago more affordable for our residents and businesses. I will fight to end tariffs and wars.
All Chicagoans deserve to feel safe in their homes and neighborhoods. Gun violence, Teen Takeovers, smash and grab robberies, car thefts and other crimes have shaken the foundation of our city. I pledge to pass policies that will lower crime and restore safety to our neighborhoods. I pledge to collaborate with every level of government to have the safest city in America.
Education is the great equalizer. I will ensure that children passing from one grade to the next meet statewide standards in reading, math and science. It is important that we do not allow children to graduate and they cannot read, write or do math at grade level. I will expand trade programs in schools and require students to be certified in a trade before they can graduate. I will fight for every student in every neighborhood to receive a quality education.
Every Chicagoan deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare. Too many families skip care because of cost or live in neighborhoods without a nearby clinic or pharmacy. I will expand access to care in underserved communities, support our community health centers, and work to bring down the cost of prescriptions and coverage. I will prioritize mental health services and address the health disparities that have been ignored for far too long.
I will cut taxes for working class citizens and businesses. I will cut red tape to acquire business licenses. I will support entrepreneurship with city resources. I believe entrepreneurship can expand city revenue and create jobs, and neighborhood stability. I will utilize procurement as a financial tool to benefit our city. I support keeping the Bears in Chicago.
I will work with the General Assembly to get a constitutional amendment on the ballot that allows us to address the pension crisis in Chicago. If we do not make some difficult decisions the pension debt will consume our budget. I will ensure that the budget is fair for all neighborhoods. I will use the budget to lift communities that have been ignored.
Our earth is a gift from God. I will put policies in place to help residents mitigate flooding, improve air quality, and green infrastructure. I will speed up removal of lead pipes to ensure safe drinking water. I will improve recycling and waste disposal.
All Chicagoans deserve a clean, safe, affordable and reliable public transportation system. I will prioritize expansion that connects every neighborhood to public transit. I will propose policies that will enhance safety and cleanliness of our transit system.
I view housing as a right. Homeownership is the cornerstone of wealth building. I will propose policies that expand access to affordable housing. I will invest in initiatives that end homelessness in Chicago.
I believe every citizen deserves to be treated fairly. Equal opportunity and equity are principles that will drive my commitment to the citizens of Chicago. I will propose policies that address equity in every neighborhood. I will collaborate with all citizens to ensure no one is discriminated against.
AI is reshaping the world, and our communities must be prepared to lead, not follow. I will support responsible AI growth, protect workers through training and career opportunities, and work with industry leaders to ensure that progress creates jobs, strengthens our economy, and benefits every citizen.
